I bought an extended warranty (Mazda Added Protection Plan). Do I still need it with the Unlimited Warranty?
Your Mazda Added Protection (MAP) offers even more protection than what is offered in the Mazda Unlimited Kilometer Warranty. Items such as road hazard, original equipment parts, rental vehicle and original vehicle collision parts gap coverage are just some of the additional benefits. MAP continues to offer you more value and peace-of-mind coverage.
For warranty repairs, do I have to bring my vehicle to the same retailer I purchased it from?
Any authorized retailer can perform warranty repairs to your vehicle. However, it is always good to establish a relationship and regular service with your selling retailer.
I installed accessories at the time of purchase. Are accessories also covered under the Unlimited Kilometer Warranty?
Yes. Starting with the 2015 model year vehicles in Canada we have offered our Unlimited Kilometer Warranty on all genuine Mazda OEM accessories purchased at the time of vehicle purchase.
What if my vehicle requires repair when I am travelling in the US? Am I still covered? Does the US have the same warranty coverage as Canada?
Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) and Mazda North America Operations (MNAO) have a reciprocal agreement when it comes to warranty coverage while traveling in North America. Canadian model year vehicles will receive the terms of the Canadian Unlimited Kilometer Warranty coverage even if traveling in the US provided that the repair or diagnostic occurs at an authorized Mazda Retailer while in the United States.
How does the Unlimited Kilometer Warranty affect the kilometer limits of a lease? Does my lease now include unlimited kilometers?
Your lease agreement and contract is unchanged and does not make allowances for unlimited kilometers. All Terms and Conditions of your financial lease agreement remains in place for kilometer allowances, payment and penalties.

Do Mazda certified pre-owned vehicles come with the Mazda Unlimited Warranty?
Mazda Unlimited Warranty applies to all new Mazda vehicles from date of purchase. A Certified Pre-Owned vehicle’s warranty coverage may include any Mazda Unlimited Warranty balance within the warranty time period. For example, a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle that is four years old from date of purchase will be covered by the Mazda Unlimited 5-Year Powertrain and 7-Year Anti-Perforation warranties but not the 3-Year New Vehicle and 3-Year Roadside Assistance warranties. Regardless of original, new vehicle date of purchase, all Certified Pre-Owned vehicles include a Limited Powertrain Warranty for up to 7 years or 140,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
Can I transfer this warranty to another owner if I sell my vehicle?
During the warranty period, this warranty is transferable without charge to subsequent owners. Please use the “Subsequent Owner Notification” in the Warranty Information Booklet to make this change. If you have any questions in this regard, please contact your Mazda Retailer for assistance. There is also no limit on the number of owners during the warranty period.
Do my scheduled maintenance intervals change as a result of this new Unlimited Kilometer Warranty?
No. You continue to have the responsibility to properly maintain your Mazda by servicing every 8,000 km or every 4 months, whichever occurs first. See Service Advantage and Scheduling for a complete schedule of maintenance and service for your vehicle.
