Mazda MX-5 GX
Following the addition of a folding hardtop model for the 2017 model year, each of the Mazda Miata’s 2018 models brings a raft of smaller changes that seek to further boost refinement while enhancing driving feel, safety and convenience. This includes its base model; the Mazda MX-5 GX; which includes blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. Formerly limited to the upper trims of this Mazda roadster, these safety features are joined by a new passive keyless entry system that is also shared with those posher models.
Although each Mazda Miata is a sports car there is only model that can truly be called a convertible racing machine. The Mazda MX-5 GS features a 16-inch alloy wheels, a manually retractable black soft top with a glass rear window, LED headlights and taillights, air conditioning, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment interface, keyless entry with push-button ignition, a height-adjustable driver seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, cruise control, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, a USB port and an auxiliary audio jack. This sporty model also features Recaro seats, Brembo brakes and keyless entry/start.
Mazda MX-5 Grand Touring
Moving up to the luxury Mazda MX-5 GT offers owners a step up to an automatic transmission and also receives performance upgrades minus the sound enhancer that is available in both the Mazda MX-5 GX and GS models. Despite missing this component, the Grand Touring Model offers more luxurious features like heated leather seats, adaptive headlights with automatic high-beam control, auto-dimming mirrors with exterior heating, automatic climate control, built-in navigation, a cloth lined top as well as safety features like lane departure warning and limited slip differential.

Only available in two trim levels, the 2018 Mazda Miata MX-5 RF GT and GS models both offer the same options as its soft top brother but adds a more luxurious twist thanks to its power retractable roof that can be raised or lowered at the touch of a button.
